The author, Mr. VivekSaraswat, is a Law Graduate and M.A. (English) from GuruGhansi Das University, Bilaspur. He is a fellow member of Chhattisgarh High CourtState Bar Council, Bilaspur. He had served as Joint Secretary of Chhattisgarh Sales Tax Bar Council,Raipur in the year 2010. He is a practicing as a advocate in indirect taxes since 1995 andhas specialized in Value Added Tax.

Mr. Saraswat has been honoured for his exemplary contribution to the profession byHon’ble Justice of High Court, ChhatisgarhShriPreetinkarDiwaker in the year 2010. He has authored various books on Chattisgarh VAT Law. His first book on the subject christened “Chhattisgarh VAT 2006” came in theyear 2006 and his second work namely “Chhattisgarh VAT Ready Reckoner 2006-2009”came in 2009.third work namely “Chhattisgarh VAT Manual 2010” came in 2010, fourth work namely “Chhattisgarh VAT Ready Reckoner 2009-2011” came in 2011 and the fifth work namely “Chhattisgarh VAT Manual” 2nd Edition came in 2014.

Mr. Saraswat also owns the credit of developing the first and only website on the subject by an advocate till date. The URL of this website is www.cgvatlaw.com and it contains more than 1500 updated pages related to VAT and other allied laws with more than 74000 views till date. He owns the credit of developing the first mobile app in the country in the name of CGVATLAW, which was launched by Dr. ShriRaman Singh, Honorable Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh.
He also owns the credit of developing the first innovative website on GST in the name of www.cggst.com by an advocate.
